Mission Statement

The Young Mogul Development Group is a non-profit entity designed to educate young people, as well as develop and support their career aspirations through funding activities, programming, and community efforts that lead to improved life chances, higher self-efficacy, and career development.

Our mission as a company is to teach and inspire our students to:

  • Live everyday knowing they have been chosen for a greater purpose
  • Think critically about decisions
  • Maneuver in professional confidence
  • Dream and pursue innovative solutions
  • Relentlessly pursue personal greatness in mind, body, and spirit

Company History

The Young Mogul Development Group began in 2013 as an extension of a company called Young Mogul which was designed to teach professionals and teens to see and value themselves differently. The Young Mogul was a brand made to help individuals from all walks of life treat themselves as a “Brand” while not being afraid to challenge the status quo and develop their own ideas.  As we continued to do our training we began to see value in our core teaching tenets for young men, and particularly in those of color.  That same year my wife gave birth to our first child Lucas, and all I could think about was where he would be able to see other young men like himself outside of our home that were being given professional tools to maneuver the business sector, and be exposed to S.T.E.M careers.  As such the first iteration of the Young Mogul Development Group was born.

The Young Mogul Development Group purpose is to support the education of students between the ages of 13 and 18 to improve their ability to become entrepreneurs, gain careers, and make better life decisions through developing pride in themselves and their ability to accomplish goals.  The initial focus of the agency will be for young men ages 13 to 18 (high school age) with a larger scope being established to provide assistance for students entering high school and/or moving into their first years in college. To accomplish these objectives Young Mogul Development Group will use S.T.E.M (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), entrepreneurial, and career development activities within 3 major program focuses:

  • The Mogul Missions

These are tasks students are given to accomplish while that help train them to get out of their comfort zone and think critically.

  • The Mogul Life Experiences

These are designed to expose to career and brand building activities and outings. Some of these will include our college visits, mogul outings, and the Mogul ProDay; which is where students work on public speaking and personal branding through living a day in the life of a professional athlete.

  • The Mogul “Pit” Challenge

Students will have the opportunity to develop their own business or product and compete for prizes.
